I don't know and I don't think he does either.
Any insights as to what variety it is would be appreciated.

Very good looking figs, he has a right to brag a bit, especially in CT. :)

West Florida / Panhandle (Central time). Can get cold for figs...down to 12 F twice in last five years. Zone 8a, not counting the recent "upgrade"

Hardiness zone 9, Heat zone  2 or 3 in a good summer (greenhouse makes all the difference to varieties I can ripen)
Growing white marseilles, col de dame blanc, noire de caromb, madeleine des deux saisons, pingo de mel, brown turkey, ronde de bordeaux, rouge de bordeaux, petite negri, sucre vert and sultane.
