Richie is there a special reason why you take the leaves off before they go dormant?
Just curiosity on my side.

. Did it at first because large tree was ugly with dieing leaves Seen they grew back fast and produced figs this year. Was I bad year for figs in south Louisiana because of all the rain during growing season. Made trees produce but figs wood try to ripen prematurely and split then fall off here some pics of my growing season with lots of rain
