This is an excellent resource, thanks Jon,
here is another one, I really like, as it has the diagrams  and explains well... some of them are applicable to how we want to keep the trees, expanding the branches,  keeping the year old growth, etc.

Last year I bought a pair of long-handed pruning shears (bypass loppers) made by Corona, not cheap but I love them.
