Ha yard Nazis!
We got a 6 page lists of rules in the mail when we started planting fruit trees .
One rule said you would have to put a purposal in writing and wait for a hearing to decide if they would LET ME PRUNE my trees .
Screw that!! i ignore them and plant what i want and i chop away anytime i feel like pruning a limb.

I saw a you tube video  were they removed about half the leafs to cause the figs to ripen up sooner , not sure if that would work in a cooler climate or if it would damage the tree ?

Dave they still will replace a tree if it dies like the first year .

I have got fruit the second year from Stark trees .

Two years ago i bought apricote , two in one plum , two in one sweet cherry , nectarine , hardy kiwi , blackberrys , raspberrys , gooses berrys . all doing good .

This year i orderd a plumcot , a pear and another nectarine..........oh and the chicago hardy fig.

I was ordering a few bare root fruit trees from StarkBrothers, to plant this Spring and I threw in a little potted Hardy Chicago with my order . They deliver in my Zone middle of April.

The Fig was a little over priced, but i have had good luck with fruit trees from them in the past.
