I am going on Vacation for 3 weeks to West Coast (Road trip), so I got this " Drip and Micro Sprinkler System" http://www.mrdrip.com/kitge200.htm , also got timer so I can set every day watering for xx minutes. Already have conected about  25 pots and there are 6 more to go. For under $ 100 and it does the job.  I will still ask neighbor to check my figs every 2-3 days just to be sure.

My trees was outside for a week and now they back in garage ,seems like they will sit in there for another week. This Spring is way colder then last year.
Martin, are your trees more ahead then mine ? I like how your garage door face South ,on sunny day all you have to do just open door. My garage door is North so it does not work this way.

Martin,
I still have 3 VdB figs hanging on my tree ,but tonight was so windy so I brought all my figs to garage for winter storage.
I would kept them longer outdoors ,but this Thursday I`m going to Europe for 2 weeks so figs will be safer in garage.
My Martin`s unknown you gave me had only 4 figs left on tree and those was formed after I trimmed tree about 2 months ago (not after 1st pinching) so I can call it did ripend all figs this year :)
The last figs taste very bad,no sweetnes at all.In my expirence best tasting figs are the figs that ripens when it is hot and synny.

leon_edmond , I use my Nikon D300 camera.
Herman ,this is Black Madeira`s first year as I started it from cutting this past Spring hope next year It will ripen earlier.
At this time of year I still have some figs on my trees ripening ,but thats because my trees are in their 1 st season next year they will be erlier.
From cutings started this year I had chase to taste of falloving:
Sal El (16 figs)
VdB (12 figs)
Chicago Hardy (4 figs)
Marseilles Vs (6 figs)
Black Madeira (2 figs)
Excel there are 3 figs ripening (will be ready in about 3days).
I think it was pretty good as for 1 st year. Next year should be very good as my trees will be biger.

My BT was very good taste this year as we had hot Summer here in Illinois.
Now as weather is cooling down BT`s are loosing it`s sweetines. So it is possible that bt needs hot weather to ripen properly.

On my Martin`s unknown fig trunk saw some long grey hair and few days later saw this animal in my backyard (that was early in July before figs started turning color) this guy didn`t do any damage so I left him alive :) I also have snakes coming to my backyard all the time first i was freking out now I`m OK with them.
I laso use tanglefoot for ants. Got some stuff for birds ,but they haven`t touched my figs yet .

Yes ,Martin .
I am surprised myself cutting started in March this year have dozen figs on it  so far I ate 2 of them and it seems the rest of figs have plenty of time to get ripe .
If next year be good for figs ,I should have a lots of them especialy Sal`s is very productive fig.

Martin,
I am having good luck with this tree this year. So far I ate 2 figs from it and few more are dark and swelling but they wasn`t fully ripe I just had no patience to wait(wanted to taste it so badly), But now I will wait longer .
I already ate 2 of my Sal's figs ,that I started from cuttings this Spring they tastes very good ,but very small figs only 22g. ,is that's about right ? Compering to my brown turkey weighted 96g.

Thanks for the tree again Martin !

I found this picture that leafes look like San Piero ,if I had fruit it would be a lot easier i guess.
