So far my LSU purple has not been good. There must be more than 1 strain of this fig and I have the bad one. I think I will cut it down this fall and plant Figo
Preta. I have only had one small fig off of my tree, but wow it was good yea!

My LSU Gold has a Breba crop this year.

Only 1  stayed on long enough to ripen and it was almost as good as main crop.

Here is a pic of my newest addition. Its a Black Portugal. The only thing I know about BP figs is what I've read on Adriano's site.Does anyone else know anything about this fig?

The LSU gold I am familiar with are large and flat.  But I see pictures posted all over the internet that look very different.  Is it possible there are two different strains?

Thanks for the information. I thought the Italian Black is sort of a unique looking fig tree because it has white stems a couple of  red spots.  I will be looking you up in the fall to see what I can do to get a cutting from the Sicilian.

Hello,

I went to see Mr. Robin to buy my husband a Sicilian Black for a suprise Father's Day gift.  Mr. Robin had none to sell.  But I did find an Italian Black elsewhere.  Can anyone tell me more about this tree? Does anyone know where else I could find a Sicilian Black?  My husband really, really wants one and my kids would like to get him one for Father's Day.

For some reason I can't get my pics to upload.  I can email them to you if you put up a request.

Thanks!
