Hi Donna.
Hope you are well. Yes I'm still in New York, we had a delay, we'll be here for a while.
Hope to see you at Bass's if he has a gathering this year?

Hi Dominic.
That looks awesome, I'm so glad to see our tradition been carried on.

Marcus, the prosciutto looks great, do you cure it without the skin?

Luzzu, come on over when it's cured and we can eat some together. ( you bring the wine)

@ Matt.with about five hundred dollars worth of equipment you can make it, it would be a great way to spend the winter, waiting for the cuttings to root.

@ Lou. Tante grazzi. I hope my Italian spelling is correct?

@Richie. I also got 2 pork legs coming next week for Prosciutto.

@ Peter.Arthur av is a nice place to spend an afternoon,I wish I lived closer, I would like to go once a week.

Dale, all my fig friends are welcome. Peter you bring the wine

Pino. Thank you for your nice comments, I'm a traditional guy and I don't have anybody to pass it on, the new generation doesn't want to bother with it, they rather go to the store to buy it, they don't realize that some day Arthur Av and Bensonhurst won't be there.

Hello fignut.
The first thing I would do is cut the lower branch off (and make cuttings)
Then root prun it and up potted, cut off a third of the branches.
When you up potted, put the stake on the other side of the trunk and straighten the trunk.
Good luck.

Hi Jamie.
Peter is a friend of mine. All his plants are authentic, you will get what you pay for, he is very knowledgeable and has the figs from the now closed BelleClare nursery.
If you live in the northeast you should attend the Staten island NY fig fest and meet him, he's a great guy.

Hi Mazehavoc.
I'm not an expert, this is what I would do, I would cut the green and blue off, and stake the yellow one to grow straight , until it reaches the height that you want, then cut the tip off and it will branch out. ( you could use the blue and green as cuttings to start new plants.
Good luck.
