Hi Frank
I got a Texas blue giant plant last spring from a generous member( Thank you Cathy).  By the end of the season it was loaded with figs; but, only a couple ripened.  I am in Zone 4 so you should get some to ripen. I thought they were pretty good.

Dan, I am truly sad that all the negativity of late has turned you away. I hope you will have a change of heart, as I respect the knowledge and experience that you have. I hope that you will consider coming to the gathering at Bass house if he has it again this year. Please keep in touch. I will PM my email address to you.

Truly a loss for the Forum.

I do all my rooting in clear cups under grow lights with excellent results,
when I start to see roots l put the clear cup inside a color cup to keep the roots in the dark.
Good luck.

Hi all,
What a great time we had at the Fig Fest. Ed had the biggest crowd around him tasting figs that he brought. Some people started to reach in his basket to help themself until Ed took control again. I had the pleasure of meeting Angelo(Detomaso) and Luke, very classy and generous guys. It was good to see Marcus and his lovely wife. As always, Ed is a pleasure to be with. I really enjoyed the last hour talking with the forum members. It was a great time!

Hi Bob,

I have both varieties but haven't tasted the Lattarolla yet. I received the cuttings from Ed (thank you) and now the trees are 2 years old and loaded with fruit that I am looking forward to tasting any day now. I will then be able to compare the two for myself.
