Hi!
Ok, I treat around 200 figs last year.. I lost during the winter may be 5-6 trees..
Most trees done great, but some don't produce this year.. Now last week I find 4 trees have nematodes now.. So, I still don't sure what I will do.. 2 of them real big and I'm thinking to do air layer.. Even one Janice seedles now have lots of figs on it.. Must be roots grow from pots to the ground..
May be I will put good nematodes, just to see if this will work..
I was very sick last month so, I real was not be able to do nothing..
But I'm on one week vacation now, so, I will think what to do best..
From 200 trees was cure around 190.. So, this is a good result..
I got seeds marigold..I may be will put them in pots..I still don't decide..
But if somebody have small figs with nematodes, try what I did, this will work like 90%..
Good we have more options..So, I will trying other ones and see if they work..
If I will don't decide this week..I will try my method in September..Now too hot to do anything like this..Only..I think this time I will keep roots in pine soil mix longer, because plants bigger, they now in 12 gallon pots, and after this I will put them in Jangle Groth potting soil and over couple weeks will cover with lime.. I'm pretty sure this will work..

Hi, Cecil!
I order from UCDA St Jean for 2012..
So, I will try to root it, if I will get it..
I'm not angry with this guy... I just try to find out what I have and trying to get plants with right name..
One plant have tag Dark Portuguese, but fruit was yellow color:-) so I know for sure this is not a Dark Portuguese:-)
So, I got from Bass the right one:-)
I already order Blue Giant also, the right one, so hopefully till end of this year I will get it..
And I just love to eat figs..I think I can eat only figs all day long.. every day..
So, I eat figs even if they don't have a right name:-)
Biggest problem for me to wait till they real ripe...

I real think you need to add to this list some other..
I can't wait to try Jordanian Zraqi..
And few other..
I still think Fiorone de Ruvo will do great here..Two figs felt down, so I think I will need to wait till next year to try this one, but after plant lost figs this now start grow, so this is good..
I think this year I will try more figs, so after this I may add to your list few more..
This year real good for me.. Almost all figs have fruits on.. Some loosing, some not..I real get upset when they loosing them..But I understand they still too small to handle all those figs...

After Herman ask how long take to ripe a figs I start watching.. And Zingarella , Marselleis VS taking I think like 3 days, Sal's Corleone may be 4-5..But this one took like 10 days.. I will see if on other plants this will take so long.. But we did have rain for 2 weeks here, fig don't split, don't sore..

But if pots will have no holes on a buttom where extra water will go?
I did kill my Hollier this year..
what happen? I put this one in a big 10 gallon pot and after some time I find out pot split on a side.. So I put this plant in another pot without removing plant from this split one.. Still was hole on a buttom.. So, because extra water was have no way to go.. Roots start be too wet.. and plant died.. Even I try re pot this one as soon as I start think this is the way plant start loosing leaves.. I don't save this one..
So, I think this is important to have holes on a buttom of a pot..
I don't lost any other plants.. So, I'm sure this was a reason.. extra water didn't have a way to go away..
About re potting..
May be better wait till later to do so, when plant became dormant..
And I saw this myself plants do better if they roots go in ground from pots..
Even..I do have just salty sand..
