I got Jack from a nursery in April last year.

It was small about 30-40 inches tall and cost $40.

At first I wanted a Black Mission but the tree gets too big and the roots invasive.

So I found Jack is a semi-dwarf and good for pots but I put him in the ground.

I started to get figs in November and December-I was eating figs on Christmas day.

This tree is a real grower and producer.  Now it seems to be producing figs at the

right time-August.

Anyone with Violette De Bordeaux figs that live in the San Fernando Valley or Los Angeles area?  I would like to plant this variety in my yard but first would like a taste of this fig.
So if you are willing to let me sample a couple please let me know and thank you.

Yes, looks like they are from old wood.

This tree has over 12 inches plus of new growth with smaller figs there-

so two crops.

Need to know what variety this is-see first photo.

Fruit is small purplish-green very sweet, closed eye and full inside, very

healthy tree good growth, very productive-many small figs.

I also have two same variety small trees (fig 1, fig 2) to trade for something
like
garden art.

Los Angeles, Van Nuys California area
