Hi, I see that several of my fig trees have develped sukers.  The leaves of the sukers are under the mother trees so do not see enough sun light.
I would like to propagate these sukers and move them away from the mother trees so they will have more room to develop.

Anyone can tell me how to do it?

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for all the input.  I will put my small potted trees in the sun room for the winter.  The larger ones can go below the sun room (originally my back deck )at the back of my house, where 5 sides are shielded.  It will be pretty dark without direct sun light all day but wamer then other places outside.

I bought  fig trees since last fall.  Some were cuttings from E-bays, other were stater plants.  I live in MD, USDA zone 7B. Now the temperature drops to upper 30's F. in the morning.  The leaves of some trees turn to yellow, but others are not affected by the temperature.

My question is:  Can I predict which tree needs winter protection by looking at the leaves?

I built a sun room using my back beck last fall and temperature there in the winter will be between 40 to 50 degree, F.

The picture of the trees is in the attachment.

Thanks for reading.
